Vulnerability discussion

An event is any observable occurrence in an organizational information system. Organizations identify audit events as events that are significant and relevant to the security of information systems and the environments in which those systems operate in order to meet specific and ongoing audit needs. For Voice Video systems, session events produce CDRs used for traffic and forensic analysis. The CDR contains the who, what, where, when, and how for the Voice Video elements handling signaling and media traffic. The loss or alteration of these records could allow an adversary to perform attacks undetected.

Check content

Review the CDR policy audit trail of reviews and updates to confirm the organization reviews and updates the list of CDR events annually. If the CDR policy audit trail of reviews and updates does not confirm annual review and update of the list of CDR events, this is a finding.

Fix text

Annually review the CDR policy list of CDR events. Maintain an audit trail of review and update activity.

Pro Tips

Lavender hyperlinks in small type off to the right (of CSS class id, if you view the page source) point to globally unique URIs for each document and item. Copy the link location and paste anywhere you need to talk unambiguously about these things.

You can obtain data about documents and items in other formats. Simply provide an HTTP header Accept: text/turtle or Accept: application/rdf+xml.
