Information flow control regulates where information is allowed to travel within a network and between interconnected networks. The flow of all network traffic must be monitored and controlled so it does not introduce any unacceptable risk to the network infrastructure or data. For Voice Video systems, session flow of information is controlled by dial plans that coordinate connections between endpoints. DoD networks supporting C2 communications relies on the implementation of DISN Voice Precedence to ensure that flag officers and senior staff are provided higher priority for communications than other users.
