Associated with IA controls: ECSC-1

SV-48437r1_rule Domain users must be required to elevate when setting a networks location.

Vulnerability discussion

Selecting an incorrect network location may allow greater exposure of a system. Elevation is required by default on non-domain systems to change network location. This setting configures elevation to also be required on domain-joined systems.

Configure the policy value for Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Network -> Network Connections -> "Require domain users to elevate when setting a network's location" to "Enabled".

Pro Tips

Lavender hyperlinks in small type off to the right (of CSS class id, if you view the page source) point to globally unique URIs for each document and item. Copy the link location and paste anywhere you need to talk unambiguously about these things.

You can obtain data about documents and items in other formats. Simply provide an HTTP header Accept: text/turtle or Accept: application/rdf+xml.
