Vulnerability discussion

A system backup will usually include sensitive information such as user accounts that could be used in an attack. As a valuable system resource, the system backup must be protected and stored in a physically secure location.

Check content

Determine if system-level information backups are protected from destruction and stored in a physically secure location. If they are not, this is a finding.

Fix text

Ensure system-level information backups are stored in a secure location and protected from destruction.

Pro Tips

Lavender hyperlinks in small type off to the right (of CSS class id, if you view the page source) point to globally unique URIs for each document and item. Copy the link location and paste anywhere you need to talk unambiguously about these things.

You can obtain data about documents and items in other formats. Simply provide an HTTP header Accept: text/turtle or Accept: application/rdf+xml.
