Part of Enumerate Administrator Accounts on Elevation
Associated with: CCI-001084
Enumeration of administrator accounts when elevating can provide part of the logon information to an unauthorized user. This setting configures the system to always require users to enter a username and password to elevate a running application.
If the following registry value does not exist or is not configured as specified, this is a finding: Registry Hive: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE Registry Path: \SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\CredUI\ Value Name: EnumerateAdministrators Type: REG_DWORD Value: 0x00000000 (0)
Configure the policy value for Computer Configuration >> Administrative Templates >> Windows Components >> Credential User Interface >> "Enumerate administrator accounts on elevation" to "Disabled".
Lavender hyperlinks in small type off to the right (of CSS

globally unique URIs for each document and item. Copy the
link location and paste anywhere you need to talk
unambiguously about these things.
You can obtain data about documents and items in other
formats. Simply provide an HTTP header Accept:

or
Accept: application/rdf+xml
