Vulnerability discussion

The use of separate file systems for different paths can protect the system from failures resulting from a file system becoming full or failing.

Check content

Verify that a separate file system/partition has been created for "/tmp". Check that a file system/partition has been created for "/tmp" with the following command: # systemctl is-enabled tmp.mount enabled If the "tmp.mount" service is not enabled, this is a finding.

Fix text

Start the "tmp.mount" service with the following command: # systemctl enable tmp.mount

Pro Tips

Lavender hyperlinks in small type off to the right (of CSS class id, if you view the page source) point to globally unique URIs for each document and item. Copy the link location and paste anywhere you need to talk unambiguously about these things.

You can obtain data about documents and items in other formats. Simply provide an HTTP header Accept: text/turtle or Accept: application/rdf+xml.
