SV-81059r1_rule The Juniper SRX Services Gateway must generate log records when concurrent logons from different workstations occur.

Vulnerability discussion

Without generating log records that are specific to the security and mission needs of the organization, it would be difficult to establish, correlate, and investigate the events relating to an incident or identify those responsible for one.

Check content

Verify the device generates a log when login events occur. [edit] show system syslog host { any any; source-address ; } If an external syslog host is not configured to log, or configured for facility any severity any, this is a finding.

Fix text

Configure at least one external syslog host to log facility any and severity info or any. There are multiple ways to accomplish this, the following is an example. [edit system syslog] set host any any

Pro Tips

Lavender hyperlinks in small type off to the right (of CSS class id, if you view the page source) point to globally unique URIs for each document and item. Copy the link location and paste anywhere you need to talk unambiguously about these things.

You can obtain data about documents and items in other formats. Simply provide an HTTP header Accept: text/turtle or Accept: application/rdf+xml.
