Reconstruction of harmful events or forensic analysis is not possible if audit records do not contain enough information.
Verify the SUSE operating system generates an audit record for any use of the "sudo" command. Check that the following command call is being audited by performing the following command on the system rules in "/etc/audit/audit.rules": # sudo grep -i sudo /etc/audit/audit.rules -a always,exit -F -arch=b32 path=/usr/bin/sudo -F perm=x -F auid>=500 -F auid!=4294967295 -k privileged-sudo -a always,exit -F -arch=b64 path=/usr/bin/sudo -F perm=x -F auid>=500 -F auid!=4294967295 -k privileged-sudo If the command does not return any output, this is a finding.
Configure the SUSE operating system to generate an audit record for all uses of the "sudo" command. Add or update the following rule to "/etc/audit/audit.rules": -a always,exit -F -arch=b32 path=/usr/bin/sudo -F perm=x -F auid>=500 -F auid!=4294967295 -k privileged-sudo -a always,exit -F -arch=b64 path=/usr/bin/sudo -F perm=x -F auid>=500 -F auid!=4294967295 -k privileged-sudo The audit daemon must be restarted for any changes to take effect.
	Lavender hyperlinks in small type off to the right (of CSS
	class id, if you view the page source) point to
	globally unique URIs for each document and item. Copy the
	link location and paste anywhere you need to talk
	unambiguously about these things.

	You can obtain data about documents and items in other
	formats. Simply provide an HTTP header Accept:
	text/turtle or
	Accept: application/rdf+xml.
