Inbound ICMPv6 messages are not blocked

From Perimeter L3 Switch Security Technical Implementation Guide

Rules

SV-15370r1_ruleThe network element can permit inbound ICMPv6 messages Packet-too-big (type 2), Time Exceeded (type 3), Parameter Problem (type 4), Echo Reply (type 129), and Neighbor Discovery (type 135-136). Remaining ICMPv6 messages must be blocked inbound.

Pro Tips

Lavender hyperlinks in small type off to the right (of CSS class id, if you view the page source) point to globally unique URIs for each document and item. Copy the link location and paste anywhere you need to talk unambiguously about these things.

You can obtain data about documents and items in other formats. Simply provide an HTTP header Accept: text/turtle or Accept: application/rdf+xml.
