Fabric Switches do not have mutual authentication

From Storage Area Network STIG

Rules

SV-6753r3_ruleThe IAO will ensure the SAN is configured to use digital signatures or a proprietary method (not based on PKI) to ensure that the switches and other SAN fabric components can verify that they are speaking to an anothorized fabric member. This will ensure that rogue devices cannot be inserted and autoconfigured which is a feature of many SANs.

Pro Tips

Lavender hyperlinks in small type off to the right (of CSS class id, if you view the page source) point to globally unique URIs for each document and item. Copy the link location and paste anywhere you need to talk unambiguously about these things.

You can obtain data about documents and items in other formats. Simply provide an HTTP header Accept: text/turtle or Accept: application/rdf+xml.
